On Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m., renowned eclectic string ensemble the Kronos Quartet will perform at The Lyric Theatre, 135 College Avenue in Blacksburg.
The concert is presented by the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech, the Department of Music at Virginia Tech, and The Lyric Theatre.Tickets are $35 for the general public, $30 for seniors and $15 for students. Marine Band Performs at VT Oct. 3

As part of its 2010 national concert tour, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band will perform Sunday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m. in Burruss Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.The concert, sponsored by the Virginia Tech Department of Music and Virginia Tech Union Lively Arts series, is free and open to the public. Fall Funk This Weekend at Nesselrod on the New

The temperatures haven’t felt particularly autumnal lately, and the action will definitely be hot on Saturday evening as Nesselrod on the New River Bed & Breakfast offers its last of the 2010 Sunken Garden Concerts, this one with a funky feel.
The music begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, as the local duo Ball & Chain takes the stage in what Nesselrod on the New River is calling Fall Funk in the Sunken Garden. Nesselrod is located on a bluff above the New River on the Fairlawn side. (more…)

Music enthusiasts in the New River Valley may want to take a trip down I-81 this weekend as the Rhythm & Roots Reunion‘s 10th anniversary brings three days of live entertainment to downtown Bristol.
