Gov. Bob McDonnell announced this afternoon that Virginia’s DMV customer service centers will be open both Sunday and Labor Day in order to help process the backlog in license applications resulting from last week’s unprecedented computer issues.
Extended hours will also be in place the weekend of Sept. 11 – 12 in order to further assist Virginians. Today’s announcement adds to yesterday’s notice of extended Thursday, Friday, and Saturday hours at the agency for this weekend.
Below are the details of the additional Labor Day weekend DMV hours.
Friday, Sept. 3 All locations open until 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 4 All locations open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
14* locations remaining open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 5 14* locations open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 6 14* locations open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
