Radford Police are asking for help in identifying a suspected purse snatcher.

The incident happened on Tuesday around 2 p.m. at the CVS on West Main Street. Store surveillance cameras captured the purse being stolen from an unattended shopping cart.

The suspect is a white female wearing blue jeans, a green and tan jacket, and what appears to be blond or light brown hair. She appears to be in her 30s - 40s and is with a younger male child.

The purse was later located in the street at Mount Tabor Road and Main Street in the Town of Blacksburg. Anyone who recognizes the female or has information that will help the police they are urged to contact Detective Sergeant Chris Caldwell at 540.267.3190.
