cornucopia.gifOver the past week, we’ve enjoyed hearing what residents of the New River Valley are thankful for. This is our final entry this year. We hope you’ve enjoyed it. Check out some of our other entries in the Features section of the New River Voice. And we’d love to hear your thoughts. Tell us what you’re thankful for this year in the Comments section below. Have a joyous holiday.

I am very thankful for many things. I am thankful for my dogs Holly and Cedar, my cats Sophie and Eliot, my turtle Luigi, my dad, my mom, Taryn, Scott, my good health, my food, my talents and skills, my school, my friends, but most of all such a wonderful life. Happy Thanksgiving!
Anna Grace Jackson, Elementary School Student

I am thankful for good health, my wonderful husband, beautiful children and a loving family, caring friends and the joy and laughter that fill my life every day.
Cindy Rollison, Account Manager, Cumulus Radio

I am thankful for the simple things . . . a soft pillow to rest my head, hot coffee on cold mornings, our brave armed forces, home-cooked meals, overflowing hanging baskets, freedom to worship, breezy Spring days, a baby’s sweet smile, hot pizza, a foot tapping time to  music, the wind rustling fall leaves, children that make us proud, a song to delight our hearts, grandchildren that make us smile, moonlight on fresh fallen snow, precious young families, bread pudding, true love, a hopeful spirit, Mom’s chicken-n-dumplings,  enjoyable work, cold lemonade, striking winter sunsets, crackling fireplaces, positive attitudes, loving parents, old movies, new friends, good books.
Mary Wright, Broker, NRV Gateway Realty
