The Montgomery County Branch of Preservation Virginia announces Holidays at Smithfield: Musical Memories. This year’s celebration marks the 28th anniversary of the Holidays at Smithfield event. Holidays at Smithfield will take place Dec. 3 - 6, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Historic Smithfield in Blacksburg.
This year’s celebration will include tea, savory, and sweet treats in Susanna’s Tea Room, and tours of the 1774 home featuring vintage musical instruments on display throughout the house. Come celebrate the holidays with Historic Smithfield and enjoy:
• A house tour with vintage instruments on display throughout
• Tea in Susanna’s tea room with savories and sweets
• Annual greenery pre-sale on the porch
• Holiday shopping in the museum store
• House decorations by local garden clubs
• Children’s craft activities
• A visit with Santa on Saturday and Sunday afternoonsAdvance tickets can be bought through the museum store or from the Smithfield Guild. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children ages 4-12. Tickets at the door are $18 for adults and $9 for children ages 4-12.
