The Blacksburg Fire Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar is Saturday, Nov. 14, 9 a .m. – 3 p.m., Prices Fork Grange, 4248 Prices Fork Road across from Prices Fork Elementary School.

Vendors include: Arbonne, Innovations, Lighted Creations, Longaberger, Marshfluff, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Silpada, Spinagin, Thirty-One, and more. Crafts for children will be available while patrons shop.

Also, the deadline for entries for the 2009 Blacksburg Holiday Parade is Friday, Nov. 20. Registration forms may be picked up at the Blacksburg Parks and Recreation Administrative office, 615 Patrick Henry Drive, or online.

The parade is set for Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. and has the theme “Sounds of the Season.” Prior to the parade will be pictures with Santa at4:30 p.m. at the Lyric Theater and a tree lighting at 5:30 p.m.

The Downtown Merchants of Blacksburg have announced holiday shopping specials.

On Dec. 4 is an Open House from 4 to 8 p.m. with free gift wrap, snacks and beverages, and holiday specials. Dec. 10 is Ladies Late Night Shopping from 4 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 17 is Gentlemen’s Late Night Shopping from 4 to 8 p.m.
