The Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley is holding its 2nd Annual Fundraising Concert on Friday, May 29, at the Event Centre in Christiansburg. The concert will feature Saffire – The Uppity Blues Women (http://www.uppityblueswomen.com/), the all women bluesy band that is on its farewell tour.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7:30. Two 45-minute sets will feature the edgy, acoustic music of the trio. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the WRC in person or by phone – (540) 639-9592.
