Where is the band based? Asheville, NC

Where do you typically tour? The Southeast is our strongest market, but we tour most of the country.

What’s your most recent CD? We are in the process of recording a series of live shows for our forthcoming live album Greatest Hips Vol. 2, scheduled for a fall release. It will follow up our debut studio album Now You Know.

Are you signed to a label? No, but people try to label us all the time.

Who are your musical influences? The reason the Booty Band incorporates such a wide range of styles into their performances is because of the diversity of the band member’s influences. These influences include Sly and the Family Stone, P-Funk, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Marley, Ol’ School Gangsta Rap, Beethoven, Nine Inch Nails, 80’s bands, Herbie Hancock as well as newer artists like Galactic, Beck, and Lyrics Born. There is no telling what will be bumpin’ in the Booty Band cd player.

Who are some musical acts that sound like you? There are none.

When will you be playing? Midnight, Friday and Saturday. Both shows are at the Dance Tent.

What are you most looking forward to about playing FloydFest? We have heard many great things about FloydFest. This will be the band’s debut performance there. We have a great group of friends/fans in Virginia that we always look forward to seeing and getting down with. There are real die-hard music lovers in that area. We have a special treat for them at one of the performances that we’ve never done before. Oooh … secret special things … .
