The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley in the Town of Pulaski is now featuring 75 works of art created by students from 15 schools throughout the New River Valley in celebration of Youth Art Month.
The pieces of work represent a variety of talents, including sculptures, paintings, and quilts. “Our goal is to give young people a place to showcase their works and encourage them to continue to develop their talents,” said Judy Ison, the center’s executive director. “We’re proud to present this opportunity for students in our region.”
“Students have learned that our gallery is a perfect place to exhibit their artwork,” Ison said. “They take great pride in being able to have their family and friends visit the center and see what they have accomplished in the arts.”
The Center is located at 21 West Main St., Pulaski. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. A reception for the Youth Art exhibit will be held Sunday, March 30 from 2 – 4 p.m. For more information, call the Fine Arts Center at 980-7363 or visit www.facnrv.org.
